We hope that you will have a relaxing and comfortable stay in either of our large guest rooms that are both triple aspect which provides plenty of natural light with views across the south-facing garden and fields beyond.

Relax on the comfy settee or leather easy chair after your journey to plan the next days sightseeing and where to have dinner. There is also a small wardrobe and chest of drawers. Ceiling lights are dimmable and there is a bedside lamp and standard lamp for a more ambient mood.

Twin, double or super king beds are all extremely comfortable and made up with duvets and plenty of soft pillows – all with hypoallergenic filling.

The en-suite has either a large powerful shower cubicle or bath with shower over. You will also find quality towels, face cloths, bathrobes, slippers and environmentally friendly toiletries (some locally made) including soap, shampoo, shower/bath gel, hand-wash, hand and body lotion, tissues, cotton wool and cotton buds.

There is a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD, wireless internet access for your laptop, i-Pod dock, alarm clock, hair drier, makeup mirror, iron and ironing board.

The silent mini-fridge contains mineral water, filtered tap water and fresh milk. You may wish to bring your own wine or Champagne to chill.

On the drinks tray you'll find a variety of teas, instant and filter coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and some chocolates.

We serve breakfast in your room (or on the patio if you prefer to enjoy the morning sun).  We love our food at High Pines and use sausages and bacon from local butchers, eggs from our own hens cooked as you like them (local free-range are used when they are not laying or if you would prefer them), local tomatoes and apple juice. If you fancy a break from the traditional English breakfast, why not try smoked haddock with a poached egg or scrambled egg with smoked salmon?  We can also cater for gluten-free (coeliac), vegetarian or other special dietary requirements if you let us know when you book.
